Art collection

Got back a few new prints from the framers yesterday so we spent the day hanging and
arranging the art on our walls. Here are a few picture of our art collection at home.
I have to stress that unfortunately some artwork was hard to photograph do to reflections and bad lighting.

On the right a painting (stencils and spraypaint I think on wood) by Damion Silver.
And on the left two small leopard pattern paintings on wood by Ulrika W

A small and cute screenprint.

Screenprint by Tim Biskup

Some of our toys.

A D.I.Y Munny painted by myself.

On the right a screenprint by Dave Kinsey

A painting done by myself, acrylic and spraypaint on canvas.

Another painting I've made myself, It's not 100% completed yet but I hung it anyway.
Acrylic on canvas.

Screenprint by Juliana Pedemonte

Painting on wood by Damion Silver

A painting by Erik Hurst on wood, Maria got this for her birthday from Erik.

Ink on heavy drawing paper by myself.

A old painting by myself as well.

On the left a canvas print by myself.

A ink drawing on paper by Molly A

A sweet print by Rinzen.

On the right 2 screenprints by Dave Kinsey, I wish I had the whole serie of 5 prints.
The picture don't do them justice they where hard to photograph thou to reflects from the sun outside.

This is a fun drawing / aquarelle by Adam "Doseone" Drucker of my cat lego
as a 3 headed dragon.

A candimals screenprint for italien screamo act Raein.

I don't think these frames make these prints justice so I will have them reframed soon.

Earth Intruder - process

I thought I would share some pictures of the process of making the "earth intruder" illustration / canvas print for the blackout creations artshow in Florida themed/called "robot invasion".

01. Well actually first I drew some thumbnail sketches but I couldn't find them anywhere and I'm usually really good at archiving and saving stuff :) but anyway here's the first pencil sketch I drew. A rough sketch basicly.

02. I re-drew a few lines on a different paper to be able to see it more clearly. Just some rough outlines.

03. After that I took out my light board and traced the lines of the sketch into a more precise and more detailed drawing and added all the details in. This was done with a few difrent types of markers on acid free paper

04. I then made a few difrent papers with ink and a brush to get some textures and layers to use when I would later colour the illustration on the computer, above are a few examples.

And Oh yeah as usual my cat "Lego" likes to get in the way, whatever I might be doing :)

05. I then scanned the drawings into the computer and started vectorizing the inked artwork in Flash to get a more perfect look and feel of the lines, I like them to feel hand drawn but still exact not like shaky and unbalanced that can happen when you use the original inked drawing especially when you are going to make a huge print of it and blow it up like 4 or 5 times its orginal size. Above are the final line work after it has been vectorized.

06. After that I got everything into photoshop and started coloring everything. Brought in the brush strokes I made earlier and some other textures and made some extra brush strokes that I scanned into the computer and used as well. Above you can see the finished piece.

07. Then it was sent to the printers and here's a picture of the finished print. Printed on canvas and mounted on a framework 100 x 70 cm. I'm pleaces with the way it turned out and the printer did a great job the colours got really good when printed :) looks great that big and colorful.

Keep a breast

Found some old pictures of a project I did over a year ago or so. It's a custom painted torso plaster cast for one of the keep a breast auction / art shows to raise money for breast cancer trough art, and education. The show took place in France and was organized by Roxy Quicksilver.

scissor fight

Continued painting on the calavera tattoo canvas, it's now 1 am sunday night so I guess I should go to bed now.
The pictures is a bit hard to make out the details in. Anyway I added a hourglass on each side of the scull inside one is a green key in red liquid and in the other a red key in green liquid and their is a scissor for each going to cut it in half. also more details on the scull added and some lines such as lips and chin and some shadows. still more to go.

Listning to the audiobook for the old classic noir "the maltese falcon" really good. Also seen 2 movies this weekend Adaptation and Red dragon seen both of them before but it was years ago, both great films. Looking forward to Charlie Kaufmans new film Synecdoche, New York.
