Hi. I just stumbled upon your blog while looking for wall paintings. Yours is very cool! well done! I was just wondering: what kind of paint do you use for that? (I am planning to do a wall painting my self, but has no experience with it.. yikes) Do you use regular wall paint? or do you use acrylic or something else?

I used regular acrylic wall paint, but I wouldn't recommend it. Because I had to paint everything like 3 times to get it a solid color.

Acrylics are not for this kind of "fill it up" jobs, they are for artistic paintings, with shadows and alike, brush effects and more. They work excellent when you combine two colors.
But I really wanna ask you, when u start painting the wall, you just put up random things just like that? I know people just come and ask you to paint SOMETHING on their wall doesn't really matter what for most, because they're not into art, they just wanna fill up the wall, and that's a bullshit.

I can't imagine you had a sketch on that thing you painted there, as I don't see you using a crayon for sketch of something, and the shape is far too complicated so I guess you just improvised it just like that, am I correct?

Yeah acrylics was definitely not the right choice when it comes to paint. If you have some great paint suggestions they are more then welcome.

Actually their was a sketch, I have it somewhere amongst old paper I should post it here, but it was very close to the final piece. But I can agree with that it still feels a bit random. I would probably have approached it differently had I painted it today.
